easyJet hand baggage policy?

We are weekly prices flying with easyJet coming and I have looked online and their baggage policy says that it is a piece of hand luggage per person is permitted, but on other airlines, they say a piece of hand luggage and either a coat, purse or laptop bag. I would like to take my laptop on the flight as hand luggage, I can not trust putting it in my case. Does this mean I can through my laptop or can I just a bag of Hand luggage as well?

It is best to ask them. But Easyjet are very strict – you have size restrictions on hand luggage, the enforcement.
